Summary:  The Project Coordinators main function is maintaining direct responsibility for selected clients. This includes communication with client representatives and other departments including processing of information from multiple sources and following through from purchasing to installation to billing.   POSITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES: Processing selections from clients and design center. Creating work orders and purchase orders. Schedule installation.   Key elements for this position: Assume ownership of your book of customers and ensure timely and accurate supply of their jobs. Schedule, place and follow up on customer orders; verify pricing and part counts; schedule delivery and create delivery paperwork. Coordinate changes (options/ upgrades/ adds/ etc.) to customer orders Communicate with vendors/ customers to correct any discrepancies promptly Inspect orders prior to shipment Assist with inventory duties, job building, or other needs of the division as required COMPETENCIES, SKILLS AND ABILITIES Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to facilitate interaction with all levels of customers and employees. Advanced knowledge of computers and business and/or industry software applications, primarily Microsoft Office Products and Outlook. Results and people-oriented with the ability to balance multiple business considerations. Strong organization skills with a disciplined approach to work. Excellent attention to detail and thorough.   DIRECT REPORTS None REPORTS TO: Senior Project Manager, Sacramento   EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE Three to five years experience with Flooring and Tile Trades, materials and project scopes. Experience with and knowledge of Northern California homebuilders and general contractors a plus. The Estimator will be responsible for generating quantity take-offs, cost estimates and to create pricing and proposals in support of the Company's sales activities. Must be able to work quickly and accurately in a high-pace environment where priorities change rapidly.   Key elements for this position: Take Reviews and analyzes RFP/RFQ specifications and drawings to determine scope of work and customer requirements. Performs material and labor quantity take-offs. Assembles cost estimates, proposals, requests for information (RFIs), change orders and other documentation required for complete and accurate bids. Works with sales staff to provide valuable solutions to the Company's builder customers. What we need from you: College degree in a business or construction-related field preferred. 5 years of construction industry and building materials experience. Bilingual – English & Spanish, a plus Prior experience with the flooring, countertop and/or wall tile trades a plus. Prior experience with RFMS and Measure is a plus. High Excellent oral and written communications skills, with the ability to interact with all levels of internal and external customers. Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, dimensions, details and specifications. Strong computer skills, including MS Word and MS Excel, along with the ability to quickly learn how to use new software packages. Good analytical and mathematical skills. Ability to think critically and solve problems with missing information. Able to work quickly and accurately with great attention to detail. A thorough understanding of the flooring, countertop and wall tile products, services and industry practices. Must provide a clean Department of Motor Vehicle Report.   WORK SCHEDULE:  Monday-Friday – 8:00 am to 5:00 pm; no travel is expected for this position.

The primary responsibility of an Tile Setter is to perform installations on walls, counters, and floors to reach a journeyman level. Working from an entry level position to a journeyman level requires that one gains the knowledge of and skillsets to prepare / install all types of tile and stone according to ANSI (American National Standards Institute) and TCNA (Tile Council of America) standards.   Key Elements for this position: Responsible to mix mortars and learn the techniques to prepare wall substrates using the lath & scratch method and float walls to within 1/4-inch in 10-feet. Responsible to mix mortars and learn float and slope shower pan receptors 1/4-inch per foot towards the drain. Gain the knowledge to perform layouts and how they should be be centered or designated on predominate walls. Responsible to learn how to prepare tile flooring substrates to within 1/4-inch in 10-feet. Lippage is a condition where one edge of a tile is higher than the adjacent tile, giving the finished surface an uneven appearance. An Apprentice must learn to set tiles with minimal lippage in accordance with ANSI - A137.1 specifications for ceramic tile. Responsible to gain the skillsets necessary to become a journeyman installer. Responsible for self inspecting all work upon completion to ensure all quality expectations have been met. Responsible for building and maintaining interpersonal relationships with coworkers and builder. What we need from you: Previous experience preferred but not required. Ability to work professionally and follow instructions with a demonstrated capability to work in a team environment Bilingual a plus (English / Spanish)
