Summary: The Project Coordinators main function is maintaining direct responsibility for selected clients. This includes communication with client representatives and other departments including processing of information from multiple sources and following through from purchasing to installation to billing. POSITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES: Processing selections from clients and design center. Creating work orders and purchase orders. Schedule installation. Key elements for this position: Assume ownership of your book of customers and ensure timely and accurate supply of their jobs. Schedule, place and follow up on customer orders; verify pricing and part counts; schedule delivery and create delivery paperwork. Coordinate changes (options/ upgrades/ adds/ etc.) to customer orders Communicate with vendors/ customers to correct any discrepancies promptly Inspect orders prior to shipment Assist with inventory duties, job building, or other needs of the division as required COMPETENCIES, SKILLS AND ABILITIES Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to facilitate interaction with all levels of customers and employees. Advanced knowledge of computers and business and/or industry software applications, primarily Microsoft Office Products and Outlook. Results and people-oriented with the ability to balance multiple business considerations. Strong organization skills with a disciplined approach to work. Excellent attention to detail and thorough. DIRECT REPORTS None REPORTS TO: Senior Project Manager, Sacramento EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE Three to five years experience with Flooring and Tile Trades, materials and project scopes. Experience with and knowledge of Northern California homebuilders and general contractors a plus. LANGUAGE SKILLS Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from internal and external customers whose first language is English.
